BIB BEN is truly beautiful and I finally, got it to chime. However, when I close Opera, it closes BIG BEN too. Is there a way that it can stay on my desktop all the time?
Widgets run in Opera, so unfortunatelly if you close Opera, widgets are closed too. You can hide Opera instead of closing it (Ctrl+H).
If you want to install a freeware Big Ben Sound Utility (zip) that chimes the half-hours as well as the hours go to: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/kpj.jones/contents.html This software seems to work well, is customizable and does not seem to contain bugs or spyware etc. By the way, I am not connected in any way with the development of this program.
I meant the Big Ben Utility chimes the quarters not just the half hour and the hours!
I'm afraid the sound files aren't free to use, so I can't add it.
Having lived in England for many years, it was a pleasant surprise to find this beautiful widget of Big Ben. So, I downloaded it and everything was fine until I hit the reload and now I have no hands on the clock!! I have deleted it and downloaded it several times but still no hands! Any suggestions? Thanks
This is a nice widget. It makes me homesick for London. (Although a point of pedantry: That clock tower is not Big Ben. That clock tower is St Stephen's Tower. Big Ben is the largest of the bells inside it. )
new version is too much better.. thanks
I THINK SO..
hej.. im sorry to bother you, but i dont know how to get the zipped widget.. i was always just gettin the bigben.wgt file.. id like to hear bigben at home (; thx

Does anyone have a solution for the sound problem? Since it only come as wgt-file there is no way to unzip it etc.???? Otherwise: Very nice widget!
Without doubt the best widget clock I have ever come across, brilliant piece of work from the author. Please Mr Author can you make this available as a stand alone desk top clock and not just an Opera widget, wow!! that would be something to have. A big five stars from me.
Beautiful and exquisite piece of work. Looks very grand and royal. Kudos!!
I have never seen a more beautiful display of the time on a desktop!
Big Ben should be in Switzerland, the land of clocks... Anyhow, the best clock in the universe, is the sun Big Ben is just a great touristic attraction...
