Sorry, but I like the colours of the rainbow colour picker better. This one is missing stuff...
  • kyleabakerMay 16, 2006
Unlike Jadd, I like this one. Simple, nice and does what it is _intended_ to do. 5 out of 5 by me. my only suggestion for future versions is for the colors to change as you drag the mouse around on it. Great work.

i like the way it resembles the rgb photoshop color picker

What the hell are you on about "|add", nothing is missing from this one. The widget is just a different style to the widget you are taliking about, but still allowing every colour in the rainbow .It even uses hexidecimal for website builders. Please donot say negative thing about other peoples work without reason. Good work aleto

a patron walks into a bar. ale is on sale for 2 bits, and lager for 2.25 bits. patron exclaims "there's some flavour missing from that ale... even at a better price, i'm sticking w/ my lager!" i apologize for straying so far from widget-speak, but all too often i read similar such remarks, and in _my Opinion_, it's annoying-- albeit, he has the right to do so. the fact is, there's nobility in opinion, and it should be encouraged-- responsibly, of course. rhetorically speaking, what happens when we lose the ability to stomach the opinion of another? where shared opinion fosters intelligent debate, i can't see much good in chastising. just my opinion, of course, and i'm sorry for wasting your time on it, but i couldn't let it go. speaking of lagers and ales which just don't quite have the flavour-- i haven't seen this feature on a colours widget yet, but i hope someone might consider including it: what if i wanted to grab an exact "Green" from one of those "download buttons" of the motif here in the Opera Widget's section-- are any of the color-focused widgets doing that-- to enable to eyedropper gadget outside of the space of the widget itself, extending into the page beneath while it continues to sample the colors (as one might do w/ photoshop, or KDE's own Desktop Kolour picker)? i don't really have use for a color picker which isn't capable of that function-- probably color blind i guess-- but if one of the current widgets, such as this Color Picker Tools (most aesthetically pleasing to me), i'd use it often. thanks!

Yes, a web developer like me has big use for this kind of one The Rainbow colours looked like to an image artist (hee hee). 5/5 from me

i wish i knew how to code that well!!! i am wondering what redish-green would look like because you cannot make that colour 5 out of 5!

Great job, i'd like to see this thing with a color dropper, if it's possible. I need colors off my sites all the time. 5/5

Try this freeware app: Color Detector -- http://www.cosmin.com/colordetector/
  • vizualbodJun 20, 2007
I just tried the Color Detector proposed by **poor_kenny**. It is very useful tool for web developers. Especially for cleaning websites and recoding templates where you need to keep colours and design the same but add semanic markup, get rid of tables, embedded design imagery and similar stuff.
