the widgety shininess must be added...
I would like the results to open in the widget itself, instead of a new tab. Is this possible?
thanks for comments. I will consider those in next versions.
looks oddly familiar to one of my widgets, haha. Close button does not work.
close button always worked when I tested in my computer but after upload it did not work for some reason. I have updated it and seems like it works. may be opera site bug!! In any case, right click on widget and close option is there too.
The Opera Widgets Dev pages are very handy.. http://my.opera.com/community/dev/widgets/styleguide/ Also, your widget is not appearring very nicely. Here is what I see.. http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/1031/widgeterror1ja0.png
what was wrong in that screenshot?
I just thought there might have been some issues when uploading the widget, cause it doesn't look smooth, just square and flat. Not much eye candy to it, which is one thing that many people who use widgets enjoy. Mine for example has a full theme to it with slight roundness. http://widgets.opera.com/widget/5303 ..I think you will probably get more downloads if you update the visual aspects of it abit, thats all.
true, I did not spend time on that aspect other than the fact that it works or not. probably I should in future.thanks.
Integrated result panel would be great
I download this widget and it works fine just then. But when I close Opera, it stops working. I can not open it. I can open all other widgets I have downloaded but not this one. I have to reload it from the site and then, for that moment, it will work. I log off the browser and ... the problem persists.
The widget doesn't work on Opera mobile/mini - please support it. The main claimed advantage of widgets is that they are meant to be platform-independent, especially running on mobile phones... Indeed mobile phones is a place where widgets like dictionary make the most sense - they are much more handy compared to web browsing. At the same time, almost none of the widgets on widgets.opera.com run on mobile which proves the opposite than is claimed about there purpose. Is it so hard to make widgets mobile-compatible?
does this widget still work?? It's not responding to any word I keyed in ~
Hello! *Windows XP SP 3* I have a problem with this widget. I can't unistall this widget - i get the the following error: Can't find script engine "VBScript" for sciprt" "C ocument and settings\Application DataDictionaryNistall.vbs." Have I done something wrong? Thanks, Danny.
Didn't work for me, and I could use this. I hit google and type in Define:XXX almost daily. This just work at all netstat never showed Dictionary.exe or Opera trying to get out when I hit submit, also used TCPview. HOSTS file, PeerBlock not a problem. Second Widget in a row that didn't work, spent too much time on this... XP64 bit, firewall disabled.
