I am using this with Opera 9.10, windows 2000. The second half which contants dates doesn't seem to have any other info. Is it supposed to? aside from that, it does load up data and i like the way the gui circles a quake I wish to point to. very cute. I just wish I'd be able to see the location/city to quake ocurred in.

This looks like a very cool widget. As for the problems with accuracy of updated information, maybe my comment will help. I am subscribed to the earthquake notification e-mail issued by the earthquake monitoring centre at the u.s. gov. I've noticed that they are often several hours different than my time - they use Universal Time. Also, some reports are preliminary only, and some are subsequently deleted. The only tremors or quakes reported are those over 2 Ml afaik. Possibly this agency is the earthquake info source for this widget? The majority of tremors and quakes seem to be in the south pacific islands. Didn't they do a Survivor series in Vanuatu? ;>

No problems with xp. I haven´t thought about a long time of the ring of fire, but this area is very active. In europe you don´t hear that much about earthquakes around the pacific. I like it.

Hmm. I liked this Widget very much from the beginning. But in Opera 9.0 - 9.1 the second half containing the strength and position of the Earthquake was empty. This is now working again with Opera 9.22; but if I activate the second half of the Widget (its an I-Frame) and after that scroll down with the mouse-wheel, Opera crashes immediately. Can anyone else confirm this behavior?

great widget. For people like me, who lives in Chile, is very useful, since we have a lot of earthquakes every month

I just closed Opera and rebooted.

I'm using opera 9.60 beta. whoops, can see only the world map, nothing's working.

The reason why the widget is currently down is that the mysql-server that's powering the ajax and sse-stuff is down. See: http://widgets.onestop.com.my/_data/quake/data.cgi This website in .my (formerly know as "Burma") that prepares the datafeed for this widget to work. Currently, the widget is non-functional, unfortunately. I have contacted the author about this - hopefully, it will be functional shortly again.

This widget seems to not working with the latest versions (9.60, 9.61) of Opera. I have corrected the back-end ajax/sse so at least it works on 9.5. I'll find time to update the widget if I can pinpoint what the problem is. Thanks to rainerd and Marcelo for bringing this to my attention.
