One needs the cookies set to "accept", not just "accept only from the site I visit" Can you read other people's status ?
zomgJul 25, 2007
Reading the status could probably be done by scraping the users' page... but I'll leave that to someone else.

cool and very useful. But how can I see my current status?
dantesoftJul 26, 2007
don't count on lazy zomg JK. The user's own status is [url] http://my.opera.com/USERNAME/xml/info

Stop being so spammy, dantesoft =) It was easier than I expected, so here's version 1.1 which reads your current status after you log in.

Well, it's not letting me edit my comment above, so I'll just post an another one... Any other suggestions are of course welcome.

That looks nice coxy, but I kinda like the smaller footprint of the current design more.

That's fine - just suggestions.
