Some notes
Currently the widget can't display thumbnails for SVGZ files due to Opera bugs (as of Opera 11).
If some of your images don't scale try to tick the "Automatically fix files before viewing"
option in configuration and refresh the widget (F5). If they are still not rendered after that, restart the widget.
If you don't know what SVG is you can

Wishlist: 1. Scrollbars - for panning SVGs too big to show within the frame 2. Use the native titlebar (i.e. ) Other than that, this is sweet! Thanks. "The widget can't display SVGZ. If you want it to, submit a bug here, maybe this will help." - are you sure this is an Opera bug? What issue are you seeing specifically?
@lucideer If your svgs are too big to show in the frame, tick the 'Automatically fix files before viewing' checkbox in the widget configuration. I plan to add zooming functionality though. Native titlebar - not a problem also. What concerns SVGZ - try to untick 'Don't show SVGZ files' option and see the problems. Both SVG and SVGZ are embedded as but SVGZ aren't rendered. I submitted a bug report, we'll see if Opera team fixes it.
Nice one, thanks for this. I was looking for a longer time for a program like this - it is extremly helpful for an Incscape user PS: I hope the Opera Devs have read your bug report
@QuHno One thing left is to make Inkscape add viewBox attribute on its files. Bug report anyone?
That Inkscape report was reported a long while ago, they have said they're working on/thinking about it. To be honest though, I'm not sure it's 100% necessary, possibly not even a good idea - SVGs without viewBox are perfectly legitimate, and have their uses. viewBox actually disables some of the "functionality" of SVGs in certain circumstances - e.g. user agent zooming, although it can be a handy attribute all the same "Both SVG and SVGZ are embedded as but SVGZ aren't rendered." Why use object? Especially since you have an option to show raster formats, wouldn't it be a lot more straightforward to just do ? Although that could have the same bug for all I know... Also you shouldn't be advising users (as you do in the widget description above) to report a bug you've already reported yourself - duplicate bugs do not help things get fixed faster, they just clutter BTS's.
Inserting SVGs as was the first idea before i even started making this widget, but it turned out that SVG as in widgets doesn't work even for regular, not gzipped SVG files. Bug report submitted. And yes, you may be right about cluttering the BTS, I've removed the offer to report the bug. Thanks. And it seems to me it's much better to have viewBox than not.
SVGs without viewBox behave exactly like raster formats (as they should imo - they are images). The reason many people think viewBox is needed/a good idea is because it makes SVGs easier to work with when embedded using objects and iframes - something we've never needed to do with raster formats. Also something we should never have needed to do with SVG imho if Firefox had implemented this properly in the first place - object seems a terribly hackish method to me for embedding images in pages. I'm quite surprised doesn't seem to work at all - what an odd bug. As for the Inkscape "bug" (not a bug imo) - it's here FYI: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/168261
Hadn't looked here for a longer time, but you found the "bug" (no bug as it is optional not mandatory for SVG files AFAIK, but still a PITA) in the inkscape bugtracker anyway. It is rated high (since 2007!), but still not corrected - at least not in the latest nightly...
The best SVG viewer out there. And I don't mean for Opera only!
