WAC Demo: PositionInfo
WAC 1.0 Demo: PositionInfo
Description
Position Info
: An object providing information about the current position of the device: latitude, longitude etc. Please refer to this object definition for details.
To retrieve info about position you must use
requestPositionInfo
which issues an asynchronous request for the phone's location. The widget must register with the
onPositionRetrieved
callback method in order to receive the position information once it is available. If the position is unable to be determined, the callback will be called with a PositionInfo object with undefined variables.
onPositionRetrieved( locationinfo, method)
: This is a callback function that is invoked as a response to the requestPositionInfo() method. An object with all undefined variables will be returned if the location could not be identified or times out. Timeout is defined by the widget runtime.
Note that this widget requires WAC 1.0 APIs support in a runtime, currently implemented in Android version only.

hi, thanks for the demo, but I have a big concern about the Position functionality: why the widget give a alarm every time when it retrieve the GPS info, could make it more simple and friendly. just ask the user to confirm once that " warning: this widget will retrieve your POSITION", then don't bother the user any more. other wise, it bring a big problem to developers who what to make widget using the position feature. my email is wei.c.chen.com, I am looking forward for your replay.
