I can go to a website, choose a part of it, but the "Create Widget" button is missing. Am I blind?
I thought Opera was still heading in the direction of Widgets being seperate apps from the browser (ie. in Windows they install themselves and each and every widgets add itself to Add/Remove programs) Seems like a mess if I have to "install" every Web page as a Windows app soon.
It works fine on 10.2.
, Please enter the URL in the URL field of the widget and press Enter , then you can see the "Create" button.
When I put this URL in the box it loads, but the status bar continues to say "Loading..." and the create button doesn't appear. Can you help me please? http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDV60901/IDV60901.94870.shtml
WRT the post below - I am using Opera 10.50 3186 under Windows XP SP3
i guess this new v2.3 should works with all builds of 10.50
Thank you for the updated version. It now loads the page and I can click create - but 10.50 has other problems and I read that it does not support Widgets at the moment very well. The behaviour as I see here: 1) Clicking 'Create' opens the website to serve the widget but opera 10.50 doesn't do anything with it. I can download the widget using Firefox and install it into Opera 10.50 2) When the widget is installed it does display the text but is not movable or resizeable and the three control icons do nothing when clicked. There is no right click menu. 3) The text does not auto update. When closed and reopened it does update the text. Thanks for your widget - I think the idea is brilliant!
Love it..... However, it does not work for some pages, It creates the widget file, but Opera (version 10.50) refuses to load them: "File C:/..../Opera/xxx.wgt does not exist or is not a walit .wgt file." I was trying to create a widget from this site: www.dpp.cz, containing the part with input forms. Here is the result, but not working for me: http://files.myopera.com/tomassplatch/files/DPP.wgt Otherwise an awsome idea, keep up the good work and thank you!
