World+Clock
Show the current time at all time zones.
Description
This widget is my attempt to remedy the shortcomings of the
World-Clock
widget by
haskellHacker
.
It contains the following fixes:
Rewrote most of the code to be HTML5 compliant.
Now shows dates for the selected time zones.
The widget now remembers the last selected time zone instead of defaulting to Europe.
Ability to toggle between 24-hour time and AM/PM time.
Fixed zero padding (i.e., 6:00:00 was showing up as 6:0:0)
Reduced total file size by >50%
For those of you who may voice comments on the accuracy of the zones, this widget isn't meant to be an absolute authority on world time. Time zones aren't as perfectly vertical as they appear here, with half-hour offsets and DST adherence and other national and local idiosyncrasies adding to the inaccuracy.
New in 1.1
Added GMT indicator.
Made GMT+0 the default time zone.
Removed "reload" button.
Tested on Internet Channel.

This one's a preety sleek and useful app.. I would suggest an upgrade by adding the timezone label for every zone. But still a great helpful widget.. thanks a bunch
Thanks for the suggestion, Abhay. I considered doing just that, but there are multiple names for the same time zone, which change depending on country.
One little ommission...........how about Daylight Saving Time or Summer Time depending on where you live? Otherwise does the job. Well done!!!
Well done man, thanks
i was always wondering why the differences between geographical zones is not exactly (instead of 12:00 and 19:00, is something like 12:00 and 19:25)
Although it may be difficult but what about the difference with India (GMT + 5.30 )? For the rest a very useful widget.

Nice work. But the real time differences hardly ever work pure vertically... And that gives errors, eh? It would also be nice if you could change the opacity...
Good improvements on the original. As others have pointed out, however, the most important improvement is still lacking: making the zones accurate. Doing this would be a lot of work on the developer's part, I know, but an inaccurate clock defeats the whole purpose of having a clock.
Completely useless: Britain and France appear in the same time zone but they are NOT, there is 1 hr difference.
