XKCD
View XKCD strips & be notified of updates.
Description
The "last comic" button will be highlighted if there is a new comic available; it is checked hourly. Clicking the strip allows it to be enlarged to full size if it is too large to display normally.
On later Opera versions, a hide button should be visible. It hides the widget until a new strip is detected.

Works ok, but there are a few problems that keep me from keeping this widget 1. Unconnected floating elements is an annoying, pontless widget trend that I wish would stop. 2. No image alt text? 3. It should go to the most recent strip on launch. (Or at least that option should be provided as a setting.)
The title text is set, but unfortunately Opera doesn't seem to display it for widgets. It doesn't skip to the end to help the reader avoid inadvertently missing an update.
No image alt text. at least put it somewhere. Also, all the buttons floating arond with no BG? its annyoning.
