New in the Opera extensions catalog #2

December 7, 2010 · by Yenny Otero

Getting closer to Christmas and enjoying the (freezing) cold weather of the Norwegian winter, we have been working on a couple of enhancements to the catalog:

  • Branding: We have now the same header and footer as other opera.com pages.
  • URL: We are not part of Labs anymore so we are getting a new URL: http://addons.opera.com
  • You are now able to filter extensions by language so you only find those that are relevant.
  • Since it's soon Christmas, smooth transitions between the items in the featured box have been added.
  • If you develop an extension, these changes in the uploader will be saved back to your config.xml file: Summary, author name, license and version number.
  • Also for developers, we will not require anymore an 18x18 icon. Only a 64x64 icon is used in the catalog. However, if you need an 18x18 icon for a browser button please remember to include it in the package.

Can you make a link from avatar/name of the extension in the "develop" section? Now we have to search for our extensions in the list if we want to read the new reviews

Yep, that is coming. I will try to push to get it selected and fixed in the next sprint
