100,000,000 Mobile users!

February 14, 2011 (approximate) · by Aleksander Aas

State of the Mobile Web

100,000,000 users world wide, or roughly 1,5% of the population on Earth, now has Opera installed on a mobile phone! The result? More than 52 Billion pages served every month. That's more data generated than any first edition book ever published.

This is an amazing milestone for Opera. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our users and especially our community for all your help getting us there. To celebrate we would like to share some great news with you about the upcoming releases for Opera Mini and Opera Mobile.

First all versions of Opera Mini and Opera Mobile will receive updates in 2011. It doesn't matter if you use Opera Mini 4.2 or the latest Opera Mobile for Android, you can all look forward to upcoming releases. Opera Mini and Opera Mobile will also appear on new products like the popular iPad and a wide array of tablets. These new releases will be previewed at the Mobile World Congress, and with your help released with a bang shortly after!

You use an image of an HTC HD2, still you don't seem to support Windows Mobile anymore. I hope I'm wrong, but why not giving some informations about new versions for Windows Mobile? Many users are asking about it from ages in the forums.
