With Opera Mini (and Opera Mobile - if you enable Opera Turbo) you can save up to 90% off all websites on Opera's compression technology. On Twitter we came across a fella that has saved some insane amounts of data and money:

    I thought Opera now supported correctly 90% of all websites, whicch could have been an excellent news, but hey, look at that! I love Mini's and Mobile's compression, loads faster and doesnt look a little bad neither :smile:

    You're kidding, right? Check out my Opera Mini. This is coming from someone who gets 10MB/month with pre-paid cards and has to pay €3 for 25MB when those free megabytes run out. You've no idea how much money you saved me.

    I'm only browsing on mobile websites (so they typlicaly are already optimized) but I still get 50% off my internet usage.

    Now thinking about using another dataplan since it appears I don't need that much at all. From 400MB to 100MB a month
    Bottom line, it will save me money! Thanks Opera :wink:

    Well its not just saving money, its also saving memory cause using my default samsung browser i get almost always message Out of memory, before the page is loaded and only rarely in mini the message Problem reading server, after page bloads, while using wifi.

    Mobile data compression seems to help a lot when I have a weak signal and the data will just barely flow. Same for the desktop Opera in turbo mode with weak wifi or tethering with a weak data signal. I can still get things done with Opera.

    Check out the following session on my favorite 3G Network and don't be shocked to see that Opera Mini does the opposite of what it says:cry:


    It is a proof that Opera Mini can do nothing when it is a Pure download Session... :lol:


    Also, don't be shocked to see how Opera Mini can save your Money, nay Life, when a Network bills you at Sky-high rates. Have a look at this Pure Browsing Session on a costly 3G Network :up:


    It isn't just 99%. It is Purely 1:131 Compression :yikes:

    Different people have different needs and a person can have different needs at different times but Opera Mini fits them all.

    u know opera turbo does not work in Bahrain in both desktop and mobile ,unless u use proxy :sad:
