 Opera. So many unique features.
  • lilchanMonday, October 31, 2011 9:25:55 AM

as much as I feel like barfing rainbows every time I use Opera, this comic looks...overdone.

but then again, I used Opera before Chrome even existed, such a hipster.
  • DiofeMonday, October 31, 2011 9:28:13 AM

    nice one!

Rage comics are always overdone. It's why they're so funny.
  • Hasser WerdenMonday, October 31, 2011 9:39:02 AM

Rage comics aren't funny and neither is reddit. I personally am disappointed Opera is endorsing these unfunny comics. They ALWAYS consist of the same ~10 cut-and-pasted faces, and their overdone, failed, and often immature, attempts at humour. I love Opera, but these comics are pure garbage with no redeeming qualities.
  • GouravMonday, October 31, 2011 10:07:44 AM

Funny or not, this is the truth. Anyone who uses Opera for the first time these days, becomes Opera's fan. ff can have all the features of Opera with addons, but will never have such smooth and well integrated interface. As for chrome, the less said the better.

OPERA IS THE BEST!!!! <3 u Opera

Umm regarding multiple tabs in one page, Internet Explorer also have this page. Press Ctrl+Q.

IE9 is as fast as Chrome. Also, it sunspider reports that IE9 is the FASTEST browser.
  • OğuzMonday, October 31, 2011 10:48:16 AM

From "Forever Alone" to "Forever Alones"

Someone is not only missing the point, but also completely lacks a sense of humor. And human insight.

It does not have the same thing. Look at the screenshot. Opera shows actual pages side by side. IE only shows thumbnails.

Nope. IE9 is not the fastest.

Opera Mini is the fastest mobile browser due to the mobile compression.

The last pic, after he discovers Opera, is usually associated with "Forever Alone"

Um, yes? Try resizing the thumbnails in IE. Or removing a thumbnail without closing that tab. Or, hey, try to make IE show you a live version of the tab that you can click on and scroll around in instead of a still image.

Opera's MDI is a huge advantage it has over other browsers.

It appears you are confused. Open two or more tabs in Opera. Right click the tab bar and go to "Arrange". Then choose Tile Vertically and see what happens. You are showing IE 9's New Tab page with a "Speed Dial" which is not at all comparable to this.

I was talking about "Ctrl+q" thumbnail preview. But I tend to use the preview on the taskbar, which IS live (Hover over the "e" icon and you would see a live preview of each tabs).

    opera:config#UserPrefs|UseWindows7TaskbarThumbnails

And please to understand that you can actually open a new page INSIDE the opera window, that does not occupy the entire space within the window. This is most readily noticed when "A Wild Popup Appears" (truthfully almost never these days): The popup has its own special title bar and controls, you can get to the address bar by clicking the thin line at top of the popup (to see URL etc). However the popup ALSO appears in the Tab Bar and the Tab Cycler, it does not create an actual new window, and it CAN'T block access to the rest of your tabs. Opera has had this behavior for a VERY long time.

Nothing personal but please don't advertise dangerous third-party software in the regular discussion threads. You can freely discuss any and all programs in the Lounge->Software section of MyOpera forums.

I'll admit I've never let UC on to any of my physical devices, but it certainly is NOT faster than Mini when run in a device emulator.

i like opera mini much more portal.opera browser is my life, its best of all browsers i have ever seen.
  • Bang AlvTuesday, November 1, 2011 4:59:39 AM

 i'm Out of topic.. :hahaha: not trying to promote other browser apps but i have 3 browser apps on my *nokia3250 rm-38 v3.24 16.06.06 heading restart problem,n crash mmc when using opera.sis 6.1 rather using opera j2me 4.4*
well Opera must consider in order to build and developing better apps, about this mobile browser apps such as bolt or uc.cn each have a different ability and maybee they have a better adaptation due in browsing modes on mobile device.

(*note:there are many users didnt care some of it harmfull 4 their device or it was untrusthed 3rdparty nor no certificate apps)
However, that's why Opera must realized that competitor existancy its on the line too,so openminded n get fully control to leading the market with keep research in developing apps specially on mobile device and be the best browser ever made... #operathumbsup

It's a review basing only on ONE speed test and this article is from March... BTW, it's an IE9 review, not browsers comparision test. Here is something more fresh: http://lifehacker.com/5844150/browser-speed-tests-firefox-7-chrome-14-internet-explorer-9-and-more

  • Cutting SpoonThursday, November 3, 2011 10:27:36 PM

4.4 and 6.5 are concurrently the most recent supported versions of Mini. 4.4 is the low-demand rich-keyboard rich-menu "classic" Mini, updated with improved networking tools from 6.x series. Meanwhile 6.5 is the "cutting edge" version for most modern javaphones, with features comparable to smartphone implementations of Mini.

Ya picks da one dat works.
