Addon Highlight: Speed Dial for Facebook

November 14, 2012 · by Aleksander Aas

With the latest Opera Desktop launch, we had the pleasure of introducing a new Facebook Speed Dial extension. What makes it good? It lets you easily know if there are any new likes, comments or messages in your Speed Dial.

Speed Dial for Facebook is a popular extension with more than 350,000 downloads. Perhaps this could be the most popular extension ever?

Do you want to translate this extension to your language? Download this text file and translate the strings. You can send me an email with your finished translation.

Okay, just tried it and although it's been running for several minutes already, it still hasn't generated a preview - it's still loading.

It's good to have such a large variety of extensions to choose from by now. And for those trying to achieve the almost impossible, that is to keep Facebook OFF all your devices, here are some helpful extensions: Ghostery, AdBlock, NotScripts, Get Off My Lawn, Facebook blocker, Sociopath, Stop social. Might as well just block the domain in your hosts file or router.
