Hmm, half of my installed extensions are actually home made unpublishable addons because they need extra care when using  But from the catalog I use:

    - Facebook Preview
    - Google images direct
    - JSON Viewer
    - QR Code Generator
    - cleanPages
    - open-in-background-with-long-press
    - Easy User CSS
    - Weather by Wunderground
    - Prefix Convertor
    - GMail on Speeddial (my version with edited CSS :knight: )

Speed Dial extensions are probably the most important to me

Here are extensions I am using:
    • Nothing!
    • Snap Links
    • Wikipedia+ Language Bubble
    • ForceSpeedDialLogos (Turned off most of time.) it's functionality should be build-in.
    • Edit: Own „gate” for UserJS to https pages.

BTW, Extensions, extensions and extensions. Why don't you ask about Unite services or widgets?

opera is great for mi without any extension
  • QuHnoMonday, September 17, 2012 5:33:30 PM

    These:

    Scroll marker
    Unshorten
cleanPages (I use the new test version )
    Ghostery
    Weather by Wunderground

and some self made for testing things - but those are not good enough for public use - plus 9 userJS.

PS: I still keep a 11.64 version as runtime for some Unite services I can't replace with extensions and because I miss some of the widgets with the newer Opera versions.

The fact that extensions often don't work or are bugged is relevant or not?

Nothing Opera can do about it, you must keep messaging the author to fix the problems

It isn't true. Mozilla pioneered the extensions field and they had to put in place a procedure to review extensions for approval and even to debug the most popular ones because those extensions were adding serious performance issues to their software. I have given up with Opera addons (and here I include Unite apps) simply because their quality was amateurish and/or the development was abandoned a short after the releasing. You tell me what is the point of listing 1000 extensions when most are unusable and should better not be there.

Opera tests every extension before putting it to catalog. So they must be at least somewhat working, secure and not make Opera significantly slower. However, Opera does not have so many devs that would develop extension as Firefox do so they can't just dismiss most of the uploaded extensions because then there wouldn't be any extensions at all. Also this give you a chance to motivate the author for further work.

What are missed on lots of websites with contents like this,
is the host category of original releases.
So to the user browse and learn from the developers,
not just usability but any other try for participation.

Besides to just went in lost, with so many user build selections.

Extension no-2(Easy Translation) shown in image above stopped working long time ago. There is no support page or contact email of author to request for updating it.Maybe he abandoned it. Now it should be updated or removed from catalogue.
