Apps on your TV

September 9, 2011 · by Espen André Øverdahl

Engadget covered the press release we published yesterday about the Opera TV Store and Emulator on this year's IBC conference.

The Opera TV Store features a dashboard that strictly adheres to HTML5 and other web standards so that apps can work across any platform. We will release the Opera TV Emulator on September 15th. This will make life easier for developers who (for one reason or another) can't afford a whole testbed of TVs.

Engadget writes: "[...] Opera still has a way to go, but pleasing everyone all the time is surely a smart strategy for any underdog."

Expect coverage next week from Amsterdam. We will show the Opera TV Store and the TV Emulator in action.
