Lately Google's been filtering more results and REALLY pushing the Adwords placement. At this rate Google will soon be useless with so much advertising.

Did you actually read the article? Opera replaced Ask.com with Bing, not Google.

I like how Microsoft forces IE users to use Bing It's fully understandable why they set it as default search engine for IE, but they also set keyword g to search with Bing search engine. Market share, market share, market share...

I've been using Silverlight with Opera on Windows for a long time now. Not that I'm super happy with that, it's just that some sites use it to stream video or something...

You people are strange, if the thing of being evil is to block Opera or break sites on it then Google is as evil as Microsoft. I can't see why you prefer to Google or Bing if that's the argument.

    1. if this is happening it's a bug.
    2. if you are talking about IE, it doesn't has keyword feature.

To set the story straight once and for all:

Bing is the default speed dial engine
Google is the default address bar and top right hand corner engine

Which is really good business tactic on the part of Opera. Why court one giant when you can court two and get money from both? And it's not as if they're completely uncustomisable either (well, except the address bar, which I haven't worked out how to do but I don't really care cos I prefer Google).

No, the next step is for Opera to roll out search suggestions in all engines not just Wikipedia.

What's the big deal? You can add any search provider to Opera. (in 10.53)
    1) Right click in the search field (of any search provider)
    2) Choose "Create Search..."
    3) The search provider will be added to your list. You can edit it to be your default search engine or speed dial search.

I hate bing... Just another proof that Microsoft is getting sleezy with their stupid decision engine. Nobody likes Bing, so Bing can just bing the heck out of here.

Then again... as long as Google stays, its no biggie. I already removed Bing as deault search.
