How about giving us a look at the heart of Opera...ie the nuts and bolts, the CPUs, servers, #2 room, etc.

I love Opera, but every time a new version is released many extensions stop working like "web timer", and some of them are not even compatible with each other like "ghostery" and "speed dial for facebook", and the list is long.

I wish there was a stricter control of the compatibility of extensions by Opera. Although they are one of the most important and advertised features of the new versions of the browser, they don't work properly. Is Opera failing to keeping the promise it made to its users?

So instead of relying on marketing and instagram etc. isn't it better to focus on building a more reliable, more solid browser that keeps its promises?

I know my words are harsh, but I really feel this is the most important factor for a browser to be popular, and not marketing stunts.

Khalilbn: Indeed! However we want to do a combination. As most of the "marketing" in Opera we really just try to show of how and who we are - the people behind the browser. I'm aware of some issues with extensions not working after updates. We always encourage our amazing volunteer extension creators to update and try their extensions in the Opera Next channel. Some times they have updates ready, other times they simply don't have time to update before the next release is out. In some cases we don't know until some of you are kind enough to let us know either here on My Opera or trough some of our other channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or now even instagram!

Speed Dial for Facebook should now be working fine. I'm not using Ghostery (long story) and I do miss a working web timer. Let me check out a bit what the status is on some of these.

Hey! Thanks for answering! I sure hope it works out, good luck!

By the way, about Ghostery, there's a company called Abine that makes a fantastic extension for other browsers called Do Not Track +. Would it be possible to contact them to get an extension for Opera?

    Cheers!

I am wondering if the time has not come for Opera and Linux
now that Tablets and smart phones have arrived. Sleek, fast,
and to the point. What are the thoughts on that, and what stands in the way? I bought a Samsung Android 4.0 not long ago. It is pretty awesome, but I'd convert it to Linux based and Opera in a heartbeat.

PS. Still hoping for multiple speed dial pages, so I can categorize speed dials. I would also like to have a feature that saves all speed dials as standard bookmark folders with one click, so I can build up a favorites screen, then save it. That's if you are not going to give me a tree.
