Discover Opera with Ghacks!

April 18, 2011 · by Aleksander Aas

Discovering Opera is the name of a new series on Ghacks, spanning three posts so far. Their first post features Opera Turbo with an extensive review and guide to this unique Opera feature.

"The developers of the Opera web browser have been inventive in past years, and it is a confirmation of their hard work that many of the features that they have introduced in Opera are now part of nearly every other Internet browser as well."Ghacks

They also reviewed Opera Unite and Widgets in their two next updates. Check out www.ghacks.net and discover more about Opera!

I think they will continue the series because they still have to discuss the extensions.

Good to see a walkthrough series, using Opera resembles exploring a videogame world. Every time you think you know about all the tricks, someone casually mentions another area you haven't found yet...

I have been suggesting to Ages that Opera should do this.

My idea would be a "Discover Opera In 30 Days". A new feature is detailed every day for 30 days, but it's not just a one off thing, it's a constantly running 30 day cycle. You join on 16th and it runs to the 16th of the following month.

It would mean setting up 30 different RSS feeds and/or sites, each one with the same 30 days of content, but starting on a different day.

Come on Opera, sort it out. Most people that have yet to discover really don't know what they are missing!

Maybe a "feature channel" subscription, where it doles out information starting from the day you subscribe. After that, there's a mail that comes detailing what's in upcoming version?
