Drop the Web on concrete

December 9, 2008 · by EspenAO

Cheesy post incoming:

The Web gets tough, really tough with Opera Mini on the Sonim XP3. The Sonim XP3 is as rugged as a phone gets. It is water submersible, “officially” runs at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius and as high as 60 degrees Celsius and can withstand up to a 2 meter drop onto concrete. It has 5.5 hours of talk time and a shocking 220 hours of standby power.

So forget those fancy smartphones with touchscreens, GPS and (omg) Exchange support. Can a sissy iPhone handle a good bath in motor oil? Didn't think so. Opera Mini strikes, once again.

Check out the press release for more info.

Screen resolution is awful. Can this even handle Mini 4.1?

So, how is everybody doing?

Finally a mobile I can throw after my colleagues! I want that!

Cruelty to phones. You wanna throw a phone around, buy an iPhone.
Schalandra12. December 2008, 12:54:11
Nah... that they would try to catch. Besides, you never THROW an iPhone... you KICK it.
