Edit the page contest

January 18, 2011 · by Espen André Øverdahl

Edit The Page is a powerful and fun Opera extension that allows you to edit the content of a website. We want you to make a funny parody of a website. As an example, we attacked the Twitter page and derped it up:

Now we want you to do the same. Here's what to do:

Download the Edit The Page extension.
Find a website and make a parody of it.
Submit your result (by Monday, January 24) in a link below as a comment.

Best thing is: We got some cool prizes for those of you who want to participate. Remember the phone cases last seen in the Opera for Tablets preview? Well. We got at least 20 of them to give away for the best entries (pic or didn't happen).

Readers' comments 50

Left under the original article, as archived; 1 page of comments could not be recovered.

What is the deadline for sending our parodies?
.edTuesday, January 18, 2011 1:13:10 PM
Lets have less smiley's and more contest entries in these comments!
We'll let this contest run through the weekend; we'll post an update after that.
Remember we have lots of cases so tell your friends, unless you want to be the only cool kid in town.

There ya go!
This page was so ridiculous I couldn't parody it:

The answer mostly is: We do not offer the same as the competition but we are still better because we tell you so...

This is too much fun...here is IE9
http://img.znsinsite.com/ie9.png

EDIT: I feel kinda dumb...I'm not awake and put 10 instead of 11 for the major version...However, that is why Opera is so secure, they fix their bugs and they were the first to hit a major version of 10...
