Feeling Maemo with Opera Mobile 10

May 11, 2010 · by Aleksander Aas

We bring you Opera Mobile 10 for Meamo - originally made as a hobby project by the the Smooth Sailing Team, this release is a testament to their desire to bring Opera Mobile back to the Meamo platform.

There are two neat features in this release. Maemo users will be the first to try the brand new Carakan Javascript engine. Along with Carakan comes also the first release of the new Vega rendering library, allowing CSS3 features like rounded corners and shadow effects, to display on mobile devices!

If you have a Nokia N800/N810/N900, then head on over to Opera Labs and try the labs build!

Just what I have been waiting for - quality software that takes advantage of the N900's accelerometer. Sometimes I'm just feelin a bit portrait-y.
