Follow Euro 2012 with Opera

June 6, 2012 · by Anna Rohleder

Football fans are gearing up for this year's edition of the UEFA European Championship, otherwise known as Euro 2012. The finals will feature 16 national teams from all over Europe. Starting this Friday, June 8, the competition will continue until the first of July.

There are two countries acting as co-hosts of the games this year: Poland and Ukraine. Although they are neighbors, both countries are very large. The distance between host cities Gdansk in northern Poland and Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine, for example, is almost 2000 km. (You even have to set the clock one hour forward when going from Poland to Ukraine.) Luckily, you don't have to travel those kinds of distances to follow the tournament - just use Opera!

Get all the latest news on Euro 2012 (as well as other sports, from cricket to American baseball) on Opera Sports, which is mainly designed to work on your phone.

If you're using Opera on your computer, you can get Opera Sports updates through the portal page. With your Opera account, you can fully customize this page to get the news you're interested in.

Try it out and let us know what you think!
