    Dear Opera users,
please use longer interval than 15 minutes (for example 2 hours) or the site will be down again.
  • Mike Manger23. August 2010, 10:44

    Thanks this is very creative!

You can try setting the URL to include the state/country/county, so something like 'Birmingham Alabama' OR 'Birmingham UK' to get the one you want. BTW I've set my redirect URL to go to the BBC's weather pages for a more in-depth look at today's weather.

First update is here! It works bit different.

    1. My new source has only day temperature.
    2. There is new parameter: &deg=F for °F
  • Martin Federico Perichon23. August 2010, 12:13

    Really like!
Una solución sencilla y que funciona.

You can also set in it in right click > Reload Every > Custom > then you can enter in minutes the reload time
  • James Gibat-Thoroski23. August 2010, 14:09

For the USA, where it says "area=", enter your zip code.
  • Aleksander Aas23. August 2010, 14:19

Changed the recommended reload time to 180 minutes to help the server load!
  • QuHno23. August 2010, 15:13

Can be much longer, weather isn't that fast, especially next days weather seems to be quite slow

When I used the Unite Speedial App from Lucideer (see comments in BS-Haous blog, I don't want to push his server load with tests) Google seems to change the infos in intervals of about 3h to 6h ...
  • ChuBieth23. August 2010, 16:54

If you replace the city name on area with your zip code, it pulls up the correct information.

    http://speeddial.operacesky.net/weather.php?lang=en&area=YOURCITY&top=100&redirect=http://my.opera.com&deg=f

chaneg teh "YOURCITY" to you city

The deg=f parameter change degrees to Fahrenheit
