  My solution was to add a type:
  <link rel="icon" type="images/jpeg" href="images/speed-dial.jpg">
  <link rel="icon" type="images/ico" href="favicon.ico">
  
  Notice the two different types. That's what fixed it for me.

  I tried that one too, wasn't working anyway :/ it loaded favicon and then instantly the .png icon
