Opera Mobile Store

Good news, everybody! Today we released the all new Opera Mobile Store! It is available at mobilestore.opera.com. This storefront is a featured Speed Dial link in Opera Mini and Opera Mobile. It will be accessible by more than 100 million people who use an Opera browser on their mobile phones.

The Opera Mobile Store has been built and delivered through a strategic partnership with Appia, the leading provider of open application marketplace technology. The Opera Mobile Store offers both free and paid applications for virtually any mobile platform and device. For more details, check out the official press release.

Will there be any sort of security policy and verification from the mobile store admins? Sth like in the Apple AppStore. So I can be sure I am not downloading some sort of malware? It can be great thing to attract f.e. Android users (as myself).

It recognised my oldie phone right off the bat, so that's positive. Not much I'd care to download to this brick, but it seems to work fine. Got youtube working now with one of the apps... sort of.

I guess that's what you get for using a dead, never-popular mobile OS failure...
