Making Web Pages Work Better in Opera Mini

September 6, 2012 · by Anna Rohleder

Whether you're a developer or just an advanced user of Opera, you may already know about all the useful information available over at dev.opera, our dedicated resource for those of our users whose work is the web.

If you haven't been over there for a while, there are two new articles to check out. The first article about JavaScript and Opera Mini explains howto deal with some typical issues with JavaScript, such as problems with animations, as well as pages taking too long to load.

When the pages in question are forms, part of the issue may be server timeouts. The second article looks at using XHR2 (an application programming interface, or API) to adjust timeout settings, as well as to manage other types of requests and data transfers.

Got questions about JavaScript, or something else in Opera you want to discuss? Head on over to our developer forums, and get the in-depth info about the nuts and bolts of the browser!

When I'm working on some javascript stuff, I've got two websites with me :

    - The mozilla developer network that works like a "man" program,
    - and dev.opera.com where there's some of the best tutorials for javascript, especially for new APIs, HTML5 elements or CSS3 properties.

A really helpfull place on the web

i would like to know how to share a page, any page, to my.opera, in an easy way, like i did with 4.4. now that i use the android, where it seems not to be supported. I amnot really into programming, so i am looking for a bookmarklet or qualified app as with the switch browser app. If someone can be of any help? i wished there was such one for desktop windows too.
I can understand why fb isnot supported. Its google+ of-course imho. and fb isnot my concern.

it would be better if Opera Mini for Blackberry can do just like what Blackberry's native browser can do. the only problem the native browser had is 'page is too large', while Opera Mini can load it with no problem. it would be dream come true if Opera Mini can do the 'full' rendering of javascript
