The Ultimate Grooming Kit

It's the first of No... no, make that Movember as we prepare to celebrate the glorious male moustache on My Opera. One of our Opera groups - Movember Mo Bros - is already growing... In members and facial hair.

To promote Mo Mania we are putting on a good old-fashioned moustache contest! The rules are simple: Take photos of yourself clean-shaven (when you start), then throughout the month as you are growing your 'stache, and finally at the end of the month, when you've become a Tom Selleck lookalike. At that time, we'll announce winners in two categories:

  1. Best Real Moustache
  2. Best Fake Moustache (ladies, this means you can compete too!)

The winners will receive the ultimate grooming kit by The Art Of Shaving. To enter the contest, follow these guidelines:

  1. Join the Movember Mo Bros group.
  2. Create a photo album with your name.
  3. Upload pictures of your moustache as it grows.
  4. If you're competing for best fake moustache, then simply create a photo album with your name and upload your submission. You can upload as many as you want during Movember.
  5. You are only eligible to win if you grow the moustache from Movember 1st, 2011 to Movember 30th, 2011.
  6. Contest ends December 1st.

Contest rules: A team of Opera employees will evaluate the best real and fake moustaches in November. The winner for best real moustache must take a picture on Movember 30th and upload it to the photo album in the Movemer Mo Bros group. Opera employees are participating in the contest, but are not eligible to win. There can only be one winner in each category. Opera's verdict remains final. Bonus will be given to participants who upload weekly pictures of their moustache progress.

so if i go clean shaven... does it have to be just the mustache that grows back or can i grow back my beard also?
  • seaemptyTuesday, November 1, 2011 3:29:54 PM

Beards are not allowed, according to Movember rules. The moustache must not touch the chin or sideburns.
