Opera 12.12: Security and Stability Update

Maybe some of you saw our "12.12" updates last week on Facebook and Twitter. But that wasn't only because it was the 12th of December... It was also to give you a little heads-up that Opera 12.12 was just around the corner. And today, less than a week later, it has finally arrived.

This is a security and stability update if you're using Opera on your computer. To get the background on this release, you can check out the Opera desktop developers' blog.

Otherwise, go and grab it for yourself from our download page.

Will it fit in a stocking? We're not sure about that, but otherwise enjoy this early holiday gift from us.

Too bad that Opera isn't working well with a lot of websites now. By the way, thanks for losing some of my e-mail messages in MyOpera. I've transferred the remains to my Gmail account.

Does anybody have problem that themes in Opera 12.12 are not kept.

I close Opera 12.12 and then have to choose theme each time.

Very annoying.

Hope fixed in new version.

Opera 12 continues to be VERY slow. It does not work at all with my Morgan Stanley account page or my online banking page. I'm still using 11.64 which is MANY times faster than 12 and is reliable with all the sites I use on a regular basis.

Ever since I've upgraded to Opera 12.12, my Operamail never finishes loading.
EVERYTHING else about Opera works as expected.

In using Mozilla with Opera 12.12 is is very slow.
Using Chrome, it is the speed expected.

Over a 24 hour period, my Operamail has never loaded (or displayed anything except the LOADING bar) under the new Opera 12.12.

Please fix, SOON.

Since installed update 12.12 , Opera is unusable - slower than dial-up.
deleted all Opera files and installed back old 11.64 - it's incomparable faster..

Please fix slowness of all Opera v.12 especially 12.12 !
