Opera.com welcomes Vietnamese speakers

August 18, 2010 · by Espen André Øverdahl

Vietnam Opera

With new languages constantly being added to the Opera portfolio, Vietnamese enjoys an elevated status as a Tier 1 language. The Tier 1 status ensures a commitment from Opera to make its browsers as well as website available to Vietnamese speakers.

This is a joint effort by Opera and members of the fast-expanding Vietnamese Opera community who assisted Opera employees in the process.

Hungarian is already at 100% for the new My Opera release (alone!):

We could translate opera.com as well, but it is not available for translation.

We have outsourced translation of Opera.com due to maintenance work of all the text updates every time we release/change something. We need a translation very quickly on all tier-1 languages when something is edited, and outsourcing the project has proven to be the most effective method.

My Opera is always in need of volunteer translators.

I love that 'O' with the Vietnamese flag (yellow star). Would love to use that as my Opera icon!

    I love Vietnam.
