Opera Employee VS Taser X26 Stun Gun (AKA The World's Most Powerful Stun Gun)

January 21, 2011 · by Espen André Øverdahl

Community Manager DotEd volunteered [1] to be electrically shocked by the Taser X26 Stun Gun during this years Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We've finally gotten hold of his footage of the "stunt" and he told us that this was potentially the most painful thing he'd ever experienced.

Drop a comment below if you have any questions how it was being electrically shocked by the world's most powerful stun gun. Let's get on with the show (make sure you have sound on):

[1] We still have no idea why he volunteered.

This is why booze should be banned at tech shows.

Risking your life for Opera is a natural requirement for new hires

And Ed has now learned an important lesson:
NEVER volunteer for anything.

Is it the same as maybe getting electrocuted with a 110v domestic power supply? we need someone who can compare experiences

Let's not go too far on making the Taser an entertainment item. People die from those things and police sometimes use them as attitude adjusters, even on the elderly/pregnant/handicapped.

abhituxSaturday, January 22, 2011 6:19:36 AM
Ed was protected by the Opera Halo. Didn't you all notice? Just the way Opera protects from malware and phishing attempts I bet taser was a painless as compared to that !!
