Nice news. Apple wants to prevent Opera Mini's popularity.

    Some feedbacks:

    * No font size setting anymore??? I like that!

    * Clicking embeded Youtube to launch native media player works in v5 but fails in v6? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3956073/iphone_apps/internet_2.html

    * Is it possible to give a setting back to v5 old way providing ONE CLICK to change between two-level zooming, which is faster-to-use?

it would be good for desktop as a separate skin, for example if you happened to have a touch screen monitor or a touch-whiteboard

Why does this browser display so many mobile sites? And display Google search results so strangely?
I was looking forward to this browser, but it does not work as well as Safari......
It's fast and has much better UI, but that's not good enough IMO.
  • TomislavTuesday, May 24, 2011 3:06:17 PM

Just tried it and it feels soooo fast! Thank you Opera!

Yay, finally! Loving the speed and everything, except perhaps the menus design which is inconsistent from native iOS and has some usability shortcomings, i.e I get no visual feedback on my taps.

I can't agree more. Was VERY disappointed to lose this functionality. Can it be made optional please? It comes very handy when standing on the crowded train holding on to the rail and not being able to use zoom-pinch functionality.. Opera was a real lifesaver in situations like this, not anymore...

Yes it does, but the performance is still kind of slower than the old way, a little bit slower than just one click, and I get checkerboardings in v6!!

Maybe those happens mainly because I am using older device(2Gen), and Apple Inc. may just say buy a new one. But one thing that I love Opera software is that they take good care of all devices, from slow feature phones with 2G network to the latest tablets with maybe fast Wi-Fi. So I send my wish here :p:

I think keeping the old version as a separate app might be a good choice, since App Store is not friendly for restoring/getting the old version app.

I loaded the application Opera 6, but unfortunately does not work on iPhone 4 my come to me a message that says, as well as see your network note that the network is working properly and open them all the sites from a browser other than Opera and tell you that the application was working properly on the previous version before the update
    Please give me
    And salute you

    WAKED ALWAKED

Somebody messed up a post wit gobbledy gook?

So what iam seeing is an error in the typing experirnce. Font far too small and window not pinch sizeable. Hope you fix this soon as it makes blogging difficult.
    Otherwise nice work team.
  • Ex0tiik WebzFriday, May 27, 2011 6:48:47 PM

  • jehovajahSunday, May 29, 2011 3:41:34 AM

When typing the on screen keyboard appears but the page size reverts to fit the remaining space. It seriously needs to go into a superior window which retains resizability.
  • jehovajahMonday, May 30, 2011 10:41:29 AM

Again, when typing into my blog i have just noticed that i have lost functionality. I do not have the editor buttons for text modification or html inserts or video linking. It would seem someone has been lazy and replaced this functionality with a simple text box command. This needs to be addressed now, or the whole blogging infrastructure will be in jeopardy!
