Opera Turkey at Open Web Technologies in Istanbul

October 24, 2012 · by Espen André Øverdahl

This year, Opera Turkey attended the Open Web Technologies event in Istanbul - representing and supporting Opera along with rock star Patrick Lauke from the Opera Developer Relations Team who talked about Catching bugs with Opera Dragonfly. A lot of people attended the talk, and Patrick gave a good overview of web development, remote debugging (even with a live test!) and the capabilities of the Opera Dragonfly platform.

Çağlar (a web developer and Turkish Webed project coordinator) gave a presantation about the Web Education Project. The aim for this talk was to demonstrate web education and how it should be planned and executed with proper documentation.

Opera Turkey has translated all the documents and presentations to Turkish. Magruf and his crew started working on this project voluntarily earlier this year - and they are doing a fantastic job promoting the web and Opera in Universities and companies in Turkey.

All of us at Opera would like to give a big shout out to Magruf and his team in Opera Turkey for the great effort and work they did for us!

Here are some pictures from the event, but please check out the photo album as well:
