Opera Twitter Kits

September 17, 2010 · by Espen André Øverdahl

Many of you are avid users of Twitter, the popular social networking service that lets you tell the world what you are doing in 140 characters or less. Whether you’ve been actively using Twitter for ages or you’re just starting out, you probably want to increase your visibility. To help, we've created three Opera Twitter Kits that you can use to pimp your Twitter profile and show the world which web browser you support.

To kick things off we want to reward 20 of you for putting any elements of the Opera Twitter Kits to use! Post a tweet with the hashtag #operakit when you have an Opera Twitter Kit running. We'll pick 20 random winners of a sweet Opera swag bag.

Download an Opera Twitter Kit:

You can also download all Opera Twitter Kits in one zip file. If you only want the backgrounds, we got them too.

We'll contact any winners via Twitter and sort out any swag giveaway. Opera has offices all over the world, so shipping is usually not a problem.

My current twitter avatar is the one I am currently using on myOpera. It's already pretty Operaish. Do I need to change?

You don't have to change anything if you want, this isn't a duty. Change what you want, if you want, for what you would like. :)
  • Artur „Jurgi” Jurgawka17. September 2010, 14:11

I have my own filodendric kit on my twitter profile, I should figure our a mix-kit.
  • mistressEVIL17. September 2010, 14:16

How much does having an Opera Twibbon (Opera icon on display picture) count in this? After all, most people don't access Twitter from web page and visit one's page directly, while display picture is the thing that gets spread around.

It can be, because it tweets about you adding it and autofollows @Twibbon, but it's easy to delete that tweet and revoke access under Settings - Connections.
Or you can just grab Opera icon and add it to your picture yourself using Paintshop, Gimp, Paint or whatever.

So I got the ZIP file - what am I going to do with it? And instruction for Twitter NOOPs would have been helpful.
  • 叶尔波力.斯达克17. September 2010, 18:35

    不错,支持,可惜我不会英语。
  • Martin Krischik17. September 2010, 19:00

Ahh well I figured it out myself — The instructions where in the ZIP. And I see that you use OS X at Opera. Good so.
  • Daniel Hendrycks17. September 2010, 19:03

Would this swag bag include an Opera Software lanyard? (With the base white and the logo red)
