Opera wallpapers in the wild!

Being a new member of the Opera Cummunity, I've made a vector improvisation on the theme of the upcoming releases of Opera Kestrel 9.5 and Opera Mini. But i've got an error evertytime when I've tried to upload it on the SUBMIT WALLPAPERS page. As I was explained it's because of the 'nonstandard image size' — the wallpaper image was made for use on dual monitors systems (2560x1024).

With the strong help of EspenAO we made several slightly different versions for different screen resolutions (including single screen, widescreen, mobile versions and even the one for iPhone ) and published them on the Community homepage. As far as many peoples liked that wallpapers and placed them on their desktops I've decided to publish them on other sites, to spread the word about Opera browser outside the Community.

Next you can see the list of various wallpaper sites I found via Google and that have the possibility to upload wallpapers by it's users or visitors. They were at the first pages for the "wallpapers" and "обои" (wallpapers in Russian) query:

• interfacelift.com
• wallpaperstock.net
• www.pc-wallpapers.co.uk
• vetton.ru
• www.nicewallpapers.info

customize.org seems to be the best one I've found! You can see Opera wallpapers already posted on it's page http://customize.org/wallpapers/53226
There are 100 views and 55 downloads on customize.org already. And one person has even loved it!

It need some time to see that wallpapers posted on the other sites from the list. They need to be moderated first and sometimes resized or optimized to satisfy their requirements.

There weren't suitable wallpaper category on some sites so I've published them into another more or less appropriate one (it was even Firefox category once )

By the way, most of such sites just copying new stuff one from another. So I think the actual list may be doubled (or trippled ) soon.

If you have your favourite wallpaper sites or other places where we can place them just let us know.
We'll be working to bring you more and more new ideas and good stuff!
