Server park in Iceland

Following the unveiling of a new Icelandic data center, with far less energy waste and more environmentally-friendly power, we now reduce power usage from our servers even further.

By exchanging the current data server parks providing the Opera Mini and Opera Turbo services for more than 120 million active Opera users worldwide, we seek to reduce environmental strains and ease management of the server parks (more info in the press release).

Here are some pictures from the opening of the Thor Data Center.

Yes new good paid IT-Jobs for very poor Iceland Inuit-People! and good Green-IT-News for Nature! It's very effective to house Server Farms at Arctic Countries, it saves much Energy cause smaller Air Conditioning needed.
