What is WOT?
WOT stands for Web Of Trust, and it's a really popular way to add an additional level of protection and transparency to the web. Available as an extension in Opera 11, WOT takes a community style approach to protection by letting real users rate sites with respect to the trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy protection and child safety of the site. With over 17 million users WOT is extremely well respected.
- Vesa Perälä, CEO of WOT“For example, the WOT community is better at detecting scam sites than automated systems alone because it requires input from real consumers to identify bad customer service. We are pleased to make the WOT extension available as another line of defense for Opera users.”
WOT can even protect you before visiting a site by showing you the trustworthiness of a link with the WOT icon is displayed in search results, Wikipedia links and links in other popular sites. Pretty handy.

Could Opera possibly add some hardcoded "Extension Categories"? To prevent users from installing components that conflict with each other, you see. Or possibly there should be a way to warn about hotkey conflicts or DOM race conditions?
For example, some of the Youtube extensions do not work together.

Thanks to this article I was like "hey, this is kind of useful..."
Now I'm installing it. Will actively use it as I believe this gives a somewhat trustworthy 'review' about a website. I'll still be skeptical, however, but I'll keep the ratings in mind.
Thank you
