So Opera Unite (and its blog) is still alive?
Haven't seen any development or blog post for a long time...
Hope you'll change that or else it looks like even Opera Team themselves don't really care about Unite nor believe in it :worried:

A Status-panel like the status-window would be great with detailed information about the visitors. Not "little activity" but "1 visitor" and better statistics, what visitors are doing at my content...

Wiki similar to dokuwiki (simple, fast, easy to maintain as data is in simple text files and folders as namespaces). Possibly with simple synchronization beetwen other users and dokuwiki. This way one can have draft on laptop when offline or just want to work on something, or have own copy of other's wiki (i.e. documentation), and when needed it can be updated or synchronized.

Some synchronization app for OpenOffice.org would be awesome.

I would love to have a backup solution so that the app will copy the files from some speciefied folders directly to another computer that is set up with the same app, everytime the files are changed or every now and then.

A ftp app could also be very usefull. Both server and client in two different apps.

Remote controll for the bittorent client in Opera.

Automatick setup and update of content managers files. Nobody would ever claim that Opera doesnt have addblocking.

The list of things you can do with Unite is endless. It simply rocks.

Something that can interface with Tomboy? Er, scratch that.

    Two-way Shoutcast compliance for music?

Clicking on Task manager gives this response every time

The address was not found (Error 404)

The address could not be found on this Opera Unite server. Visit the Opera Unite Home page to see available applications.

    Same with Draw it.

    Are thses all discontinued?

Must say I find all the features that Opera offers are unbelievable...puts it in a complete different league from any other browser...stunned that it is not (by far) the most popular browser out there....marketing issue?

The issue is that unlike Firefox, Chrome and IE, Opera doesn't have a monopolist pushing it heavily all over the place.

True, free advertising from very big companies can give you a big boost....but how to secure some of this "free advertising"? Perhaps Opera just needs to be recommended by governments and major NGOs all over the world?
