Wii Awareness Wiik is underway

The Nintendo Wii's Internet Channel, powered by Opera, is currently free for anyone who owns a Wii, and will remain free for those who have already downloaded it. If you own a Wii and haven't already activated the Internet Channel, act now if you want to get it for free! As of July 1st, the Opera browser on Wii will cost 500 Wii points to download (and then it will be free to use for the life of the system). See Opera's press release for more info.

Since July is right around the corner, we need your help informing people that the grace period to get Opera on the Wii (for free) is about to end. Personally, I think 500 Wii points is pretty reasonable, not just to browse everyday webpages on the Wii, but to watch videos on sites like Youtube, or even play games designed specifically for the Wii's browser. Even movie advertisers are getting in on the action, making games for users of Opera on the Wii. See here: http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/adwatch/?id=16617

That said, we want as many people as possible to get the best Internet experience available on game consoles today. We appreciate any and all of your efforts to get the word out this week to your friends and acquaintances who own Wiis, and I'm sure they'll appreciate getting Opera for free

PS: Don't forget to post your Success Stories!
