I thought that my work is maybe among the top ones, because last week they choosen it to their favorites at Opera, but I did not think that I'll actually win with it.
Thanks!

Note: Not sure if anyone wants it, but I made my submissions in full 1600x1200 size for desktops. I'm sporting one at home and (in my opinion of course) it looks pretty good full size. My submissions were #2 (the guy holding the electrified "o") and #228 (guy running through field of "o" roses)
reply if you're interested and I'll host the pics on a image hosting portal.

Actually I made higher resolution version of my submissions too, if anyone is interested. I will upload them to my opera albums anyways.

Although the HD versions are the same aspect as the 854p version, and they maybe need a little more polishing, because originally made for lower res.

But I will try to optimize for 16:9, 16:10 or whatever ratio you want.

1. the most badass wallpaper
Have u seen any? Most of them are kinda opera direct ads, childish, funny, but not badass, no way (if u wanted just "oh, cool, oops, he-he" wallpapers pls mention it clearly).
2. Opera wallpaper
Hah, brilliant, guys, have tried any of that wallpapers on yr Android phones? How many u do want to keep in the backround at least for one day? How many of them really fit the phone resolution and do not interfere with info indications? I tried the winner's wallpaper, sorry, pal, nothing personal but it a bit.. not the kind I would choose as the best one Android phone.
3. Yeah, people are right, what about the second phone (if there is any)? Yes is yes, no is no, it's that simple)
Anyway, thanks for better understanding of Opera designers' priorities in vision of Opera Mobile and due product placement concept.
AlexTuesday, November 16, 2010 9:37:29 PM
Well, we see that opera disigners have an uggly taste of vision "most badass Opera wallpaper for Android phones".
Comics-style? lol/ its for little children? Lol - 3 times ))
p/S
BTW: wtf guys?!?!? wherez my fone?!?!?

As far as the designer choices of the honorable mentions and winner, you can't fault them for having a hard time making a decision. It's basically impossible for a few people to choose a winner from over 300 entries. You pretty much get tired of looking, they all start to look similar, and in the end you just pick one so you can be done trying to decide. Chances are the winner was chosen before half the entries were sent, simply because it's such a HARD decision. I know they would deny it though.
Which is why contests like this should ALWAYS be run by popular vote. Let the people decide
That being said, Emoryy's wallpaper is one of the stand-out entries in a sea of mediocrity, and it looks JUST FINE on my phone.

I have no idea what that sentence means in English, but I think you meant that if someone is professional they don't get tired physically and mentally after dealing with the responsibility of choosing ONE winner out of 300 different pieces of art in one week?

secondly, let me make it plain)
Technically, the whole time spent on this contest is more than one week (8-16th of November, 7 working days, you know). Do some simple maths, roughly you have 43
