    Euro Edition !!! COOL!!

    Thank you so much!!!

    Edit:Am I missing something here?
What's the different between "Opera 12 RC & Opera Next" because both are Opera 12.00 build 1450 aren't they? However, the Sizes for both are different.

Any idea, which one is newer?

    Thanks!!

Will transitions, transforms, and animations be unprefixed in final? CSSWG recommends to unprefix them already =)

Please fix this "status bar in the middle of screen", see
    http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/show.dml/49546542?startidx=100#comment90632862 for details
This was introduced in Opera 12, there is no such problem in Opera 11.

Also DSK-364940 (opera using CPU all the time by 2 threads) is still present. Too bad there is no debug info that I could use to tell what these threads do. Very annoying having 40% of CPU consumed by Opera all the time it's running.

UPDATE: I have traced this to downloads. Every time I have *any* downloads (stopped or running, doesn't matter), Opera takes all this CPU. When I remove them from downloads list, CPU usage drops to normal level.

Even when some download finishes, it is still causing this. Same for finished downloads that Opera remembers after close/restart.

    Try using opera:cpu .
  • PraetorianXFriday, June 8, 2012 12:04:34 PM

Let's start with something very minor smile :
"Opera Next is a line of bleeding-edge releases of Opera, including alphaand beta versions in addition to final releases."

    ^^^

The string is missing a space. This string appears when upgrading through the Ubuntu Software Center (running the deb file for x64 or 32bit versions).

Should be "alpha and beta" smile

    Ubuntu 12.04 64bit and Ubuntu 11.10 32bit. Opera 12.00 x64 and 32 bit (respectively) build 1450

Edit: the somethingawful.com works properly with this build smile

    Crash
    ======
    1. run opera
    2. panels set to floating
    3. ctrl-shift-9
    4. try to drag the links-tab

A few crash logs have been send via the crash-logger. they contain for example the url below.

    These bugs still not gone:

When trying to play a music file for incoming emails right when choosing it, Opera crashes.

A couple of builds ago the mail client became almost unusable: when I click on a link in any email the window turns black:

My web gmail page is completely black as well.

    Win 7HP, x64, Intel Core i5, Opera x64
  • ClashCityRockerclashcityrockerFriday, June 8, 2012 12:05:46 PM

Now we are at RC status, I deleted my Opera installation and profile, and set everything from scratch again.

When I tried to assign IMAP folders (SPAM/TRASH/SENT), I got this error, something I have never seen before:

The requested action could not be completed.
The server responded: Error in IMAP command FETCH: Invalid messageset

    Running Dovecot 2.0.18

Well, that was the first thing I tried, but it's all in "Other" category - so that's not really helpful. I used process explorer to look at threads, you got screenshot attached to bug report.

Does DSK-365532 include that Facebook bug where the main page doesn't load completely? It seems to be fixed now.

What about sorting of RSS messages by subject. It has been broken recently - it worked in 11.x and even in earlier snapshots of 12.

A couple of builds ago, Ruari mentioned that the team is looking into the flashplugin freeze/cpu-hog bug (which for me persists in both RC builds, this one included).

    http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2012/06/05/a-few-more-updates-to-12-00?startidx=50#comment90575402

If it helps, I beleive that it is related with setting the middle-mouse-click shortcut to "Start Panning" instead of "Paste Text From Clipboard".

Is this something that is expected to be resolved before final?

Last tested on Opera 12.00 build 1450 32bit, Ubuntu 11.10 32bit. No hwa, No webgl, Flash plugin: Shockwave Flash 11.2.202.235

    Can you fix DSK-365503 ?
This bug exist in last 4-6 builds.
  • DzsiniFriday, June 8, 2012 12:30:13 PM

1: Install any extension with a settings page.
2: Enter above mentioned settings page from extension management page.
3: Use mouse gesture to go "back" (RMB + left, or mouseflip, or anything)
4: Get a Speed Dial page without titlebar and some strange behavior...

    (Windows, 64 bit version)
    Reported as DSK-365595

You were right! That was a HWA enabled bug. I turned it on and now can normally use my opera mail and gmail client!

Confirmed on Linux (64) as well. Not really that strange behaviour though, once the dials have moved to where they're supposed to be they do stay there. THe only real problem is the lack of address bar.

Still high CPU usage while loading (downloading) 1080p videos at YouTube.

    Win7 x64, Opera x64, no hwa/webgl
  • LenaPatatinaFriday, June 8, 2012 12:36:13 PM

BTW now google drive (https://drive.google.com/?tab=mo&authuser=0#home) doesn't work for me. When I try to enable Folder upload it says:

"Your browser doesn't support the uploading of entire folders. If you would like to use this feature, install the Chrome browser (recommended) or the Folder Upload applet. Note: Your browser does not have Java enabled. You must enable Java before using the Folder Upload applet."

But it worked fine on previous non-RC builds. I could install that applet and work with it.

You are very sure that this happens only with Opera? I had to update recently my CPU as I was not able to to play smoothly 1080p in ANY player. Processing 1080p is just heavy.

    You lot are being busy!

The last couple of builds have a critical bug related to the cookie dialog box - I always review any cookies - on some sites the box does not respond and, as it's modal, it means that Opera is effectively frozen.

Definitely produced by this site https://new.livestream.com/accounts/245890/events/921554 after clicking to play the film.

Within five minutes of install, it went Not Responding for me too. I've noticed on about five of these x64 builds that not long after the automatic start after install Opera goes nonresponsive and has to be forceably closed.

    @ Blazej Kazmierczak :
it seems that the bug below is not going to be fixed before final, but you promised to have a look at it some builds ago and no news till now , do you confirm it ? or ignored ? , if you confirm there will be hope to be fixed in next major version.
