A second build to celebrate Friday
The Opera team have been working hard following our snapshot earlier today and we managed to get a few more fixes ready for further testing. We therefore thought we'd give you an even better snapshot to play with.
It contains all the improvements from the last one, plus those listed in the change log below. Check out the updated the proxy UI and the Opera Next fixes.
Let's us know what you think and any issues you find ... oh and have a great weekend!

Let's us know what you think and any issues you find ... oh and have a great weekend!
Known Issues
- Opera Next does not start from the application launcher in many popular Linux and FreeBSD Desktop Environments: To work around start from the terminal 'opera-next &'. Alternatively edit '/usr/share/applications/opera-next-browser.desktop' and change 'StartupNotify=true' to 'StartupNotify=false' and then log out and back into your Desktop Environment.

I just don't like waiting a month per build lol.
I can't wait for the webgl builds though.

The setting "Application Icon" is not working and hasn't been for as long as I can remember for any build.
So it's not like I'm replacing it on my own, it's just being reset to the red icon and I can't seem to do anything about it.
If anyone can help I would appreciate.

It's win7 x86 sp1.
I just installed this build to the side to test along my main (same builds, diff configs).
The default, new install to the side works as intended.
Mine however doesn't, it has the red icon.
There must be something in my pref's causing it.
I'll check for that right now.
Btw, this build is snappy
I like it.
Edit:
Tried del'ing my pref's file, and changing to the default skin.
Both didn't work out.
The icon set in the pref's file sets the icon for the dialogs, but not the main one it's self.
I've got a few icon files lying around in the folders so I'll del those next and see how that goes, maybe it's automatically picking up on those.
Strange...

Not even seen Windows 64bit builds yet...
NEOAethyr27. May 2011, 20:39
It ends up it was the shortcut icon that I was using that sets the icon that's used for the taskbar
I forgot all about that.
I like the white icon and would prefer it stays as a resource in all builds.
It's fine if it's not the default, but as long as it's the same icon resource #, that would be cool.

tray icon is white when not pinned, but still turns red when pinned in Win7

Lol, it can't run in win95 so what is the big deal with it using SSE?
Supposedly the last ver to support win95 was one of the 10.50 builds or somewhere around there.
SSE has been around since the p3 days so yippy freaking do..
No offence, but come on dude, you sound like the peeps that cry about no x64 builds.
With that old of a pc you might as well use v9.27 or v10.10 anyways.
With an os like win98/me or win2k.
You could get a pc for free that supports sse these days, if not free it might cost you $30.
Edit:
@Nimesh
You should beable to change the icon for the pinned ver on your own.
Just as you would any other app that you'de pin.
It's been a while since I even bothered trying to pin anything but I'm pretty sure you just right click and change it's icon when the app isn't running.

Also, Right click - Dictionary and Encyclopedia misbehave, but Go to Web address works properly and opens in a private tab too.
Not sure if it regressed in this build or the one earlier today.
Just checked, regressed in the earlier build, you need to have either ''Reuse current tab'' unchecked in the preferences or hold ctrl, shift or ctrl + shift so the search opens in a new tab.
Submitted as DSK-337889.

Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 9.0, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 beta 2, Mozilla Seamonkey, Google Chrome, Google Chromium, Apple Safari does not require any SSE, because they know what is x86. By the way, x86 - it's not just Intel and AMD, for your information.

On the x64 current build works, but not on non_SSE x86 system there. This is a big difference, because on x64 you can use this version and the x86 not.

Impossible, because older versions of browsers have security problems. The only way out - using any other browser. If interested, I have Windows XP. Windows 7 installed and everything worked perfectly.

Completely new system in Russia will cost $1000, not $30. $30 will cost the new processor, but it must be somewhere to install.

Also please make it possible to resolve DNS remotely with SOCKS proxy, it is very important in some cases. http://is.gd/M3cn0J

Comrad, when I spoke about win95 it was only because that is pretty much the oldest os one might use, and it does not have support for sse (it doesn't enable it on startup).
Around here you can get a p3 setup for free, from the garbage.
Or from a yardsale for pretty darned cheap.
Security wise opera v10.10 wouldn't be that bad to be honest.
You could disable cookies and the referrer for a slightly increased lv of security for general web surfing stuff.
The only thing that might effect it is specific opera flaws.
Opera being one of the least used browsers that is less likely then running into a flaw for firefox or ie.
I think you'de be alright if you had used v10.10.
I figured if you had a cpu without sse you must have a k6-x/p2 or older.
I'm not sure what you have for a setup there but if you can learn how to build them yourself, it's much cheaper then buying an oem, and better
Anyways, if there is a previous build, say v11.11 that works for you, you could use that.
In all honesty though, I don't know what kind of pc you have but it may be time for an upgrade anyways.
Just so you can watch flash video's and such.
A intel 3ghz or amd 2.4ghz should do fine.
I'm just saying sse has been around for so long now, it's pretty much a given that anyone running any recent software would have sse at there disposal.
Anyways good luck to you and such
I'm not sure if the dev's will take your req seriously or not though
