Barracuda Release Candidate 4
We've been able to get a few more fixes in during the last couple of days, so here's a 4th release candidate for Barracuda.
Note: Before reporting any possible release blockers, please consider doing a clean install to verify if it still happens there. Some problems seem to be caused by "dirty" installations of snapshots on top of older snapshots with experimental code.

1. WinXP, resolution of 1680x1050.
2. Load a large image such as
http://i.imgur.com/mIO4V.jpg
or
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/98/Andromeda_Galaxy_(with_h-alpha).jpg
3. Zooming works in a very weird manner unless you click on the image itself first.
Can anyone else confirm?

Here's what I do:
I open a page and clicked ot live video stream (iptv).
The stream opens in new tab (maximized popup).
So far so good BUT if I try to move this tab it will not allow me. When I drag other tab on it's place it works (change place with other tab).
When this popup tab is first (next to menu button on the left) then when I drag other tab on it's place it does not allow me to drop it and change place with popup tab.
Can anyone confirm?

Every time I install one of these snapshots, or every few days, I get a "Reddit enhancement suite has been updated" notification, yet it never really updates, it just stays at the latest 3.4 version.
I don't get this problem with last pass, only RES. I suspect it could be due to RES being hosted somewhere other than the official opera extension site.

There is no need to confirm the same issue multiple times. One confirmation is more than enough. Multiple people posting "confirmed" over and over again just starts looking like spam.

Can anyone confirm wand.dat incompatibility with 11.01 build ?
I have installed this in a new folder and copied my 11.01 wand.dat and bookmarks across to it from 11.01...
11.01 wand.dat works with this RC4... however, when I copy the wand.dat back to the 11.01 install, no passwords available even though the wand.dat file size has not changed.
Usually personal profile stuff like wand.dat etc could just be copied over or backed-up without corruption or incompatibility - except for urlfilter.ini a while back this worked fine.

That's because it is autosized by default. Clicking once will give you original size, and only then can you use the zooming feature.Originally posted by sapito:
It will be compatible with all those extensions that did not rely on core bugs in Opera 11.0 that got fixed in Opera 11.1.TZ8611. April 2011, 13:20

No, it means that you can toggle between autosized and original size, and large images will start autosized. Press Enter of click to toggle this.MossMan11. April 2011, 15:07

As said, if you keep your extensions and custom settings then it's not a clean install!
However, one tip I would give is to delete all default speed-dials and bookmarks (also clear the trash) *BEFORE* trying to synchronise with Opera Link! (I assume you're using Link...)
And another tip: make copies of your user profile data (for windows: [user]/application data/opera & [user]/local settings/application data/opera) first. This means you have backups of any little files you may discover you need (like wand.dat (passwords) and contacts.adr (contacts)).
For the rest, you'll just have to remember or note down the important custom settings and extensions so you can set them up again in the new version. Then uninstall, delete all Opera folders in your user profile (BUT KEEP A COPY OF YOUR MAIL FOLDER!), and use something like CCleaner to do a registry clean up afterwards.
After that, install Opera, clear bookmarks and speeddial, start Opera Link, add the correct mail folder in opera:config, download any important widgets and extensions, change any important settings and close. You can then copy your wand.dat and contacts.adr files to the new folders and restart. That should do it.
One thing about this exercise is it's sometimes good to see what the current default settings are and only change the ones you really need to.

After, they can have a version number that is way bigger than the one of Google's Chrome.
And if Opera guys are asked why did they do this, the answer is pretty simple: "We followed the Microsoft Windows versioning system"
