Friday evening improvements
It is Friday evening and all of my colleagues are in the office (even though the Oslo office has a Christmas party this evening and we should all really get going). However, I can't help but think that we have all these great fixes just lying around waiting to be tested. So why not put out a snapshot?
Ok then! Here is a new snapshot. Highlights include: address field changes, gesture improvements, extension fixes, and some nice core fixes. How does that suit you?
And remember, for now we have switched off WebSockets by default.
WARNING: This is a development snapshot: It contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

*Would be perfect if you could let it appear on the bottom. And the text field could be larger.

Compared to Opera 10.63, the status-bar is now slightly, just SLIGHTLY smaller than in 10.63. That results in what I see now, the buttons ("View 100%", "Opera Turbo" etc) are too big so they overlap with the border of the whole status-bar.
Yes, take a look at the "View 100%" button for example. You can't see the border of the whole status-bar because the bar in itself is SMALLER than before in 10.63, thus the buttons OVERLAP with the border. Can anyone else see that?

When default zoom > 100%, images show with black horizontal lines on first load (ex: 120% on www.amazingsuperpowers.com ).

Nice. Does not compromise it for 99% of people that like the new way, but it's easy and intuitive to switch it back to the old style.
Have a great party and lots of Friday beer
Our Xmas party too tonight, local curryhouse....

I love opera desktop team.

I would prefer old school black font when switching to show full URL, not a fan of grey.
Also mouse gestures UP and DOWN (DOWN and UP) seem to be almost impossible to do now, way worse than with previous snapshots ??

The website http://new.my.eyeos.org/ didn't show the login screen. I hope it will be fixed in the next beta versions (tested on Win XP SP3).
Have some nice winter days.

Works good with IE.
Anyone can confirm?

Shall we come back in a few hours for the "Friday night" Snapshot?
Robert MeijersRobert9010. December 2010, 15:51
Seems like this broke the richt click + mousewheel popup, the release of the right mouse button isn't detected, so the popup stays open. Both with "Show Gesture UI" enabled and disabled. Anyone confirmed?
José Batistawyldkat10. December 2010, 15:51
@ Robert90. Pop-up works fine here.

For example: http://drugoi.livejournal.com/ (slow because of updating string below). If disable scripts on the page, scrolling will be fast.
Lucalucaviozzi10. December 2010, 15:54
(it works with IE and the previous version)
Anyone can try it?
(openoffice not excel sry)

Depends on the website. If the page uses fixed background images, a lot of work needs to be done on scrolling.minho10. December 2010, 15:59

Great! Many thanks!
BUG: Scroll (cursor) position on the re-opened page still not remembered: page re-opens always at start (top).
This is a very useful Opera's feature, please consider fixing it. Thanks.
