    Quick question.

Do you have any plans for fixing & enabling HWA for previously disabled display drivers?

Something is wrong... A lot of WebGL demos at http://www.chromeexperiments.com/webgl say that texture_float extension is not supported...
  • KonstantinzxcatMonday, December 19, 2011 3:17:50 PM

Do you plan to support Intel HD Graphics 3000 (which is an integrated graphics card in the Sandy Bridge codenamed processors).
It's fast enough for most games, but not for Opera? ;)

No that was Labs release (a peak at some of the stuff we are doing on the side of our main development branch). This is a snapshot, which represents our main development branch. Snapshots which immediately follow a Labs release never contain everything from that Labs release. Once we have done further work on OOPP it will be merged into the main development branch and then you will see 64bit snapshots.

I'm affraid that this buid has some problems rendering OTF (OpenType) fonts format.

    Look at this page:

    http://cabanaelarranque.com.ar/nosotros

I'm using ArnoPro open type typography font. By the way, text must be in spanish, not some kind of klingon dialect bigsmile

In Opera 11.60 all is fine.

Maybe after they're done with the D3D backend?

Edit: Oh I've completely missed @blackcoder's post! He has the exact same issue as I have.. Maybe a Vista-specific bug? confused
  • NiColaoSNikDaMarkMonday, December 19, 2011 4:24:43 PM

I'd really like to give much attention on one thing... For example, Firefox makes the Graphics Card SOMETIMES to go on 3D clocks ( full power ) purely unneeded! Only IE9 utilizes the card efficiently! Currently, Opera forces the card to run on P0 state many times, likewise, but I've hope since it's still in alpha version.

I truly "can't wait" for Direct3D/2D instead of OpenGL on Windows 7!

Awesome. On the Mac build and so far this is pretty darn stable; no random crashing with a good number of tabs open like in prior builds.

Thank you especially for DSK-351312 ...the non-scrolling of flash videos was extremely annoying.

    Confirmed.
And just to make it sure for everyone: it's not a problem of the toggle but the far left and right borders of Opera are not responding. That's why the scroll bar doesn't react to dragging if you push your mouse to the far right as well (which is driving me nuts!) doh

With Hardware Acceleration enabled my computer (GPU ?) is making strange sounds when watching a live stream from http://www.own3d.tv (wait a few minutes before checking for the sounds).

If i disable Hardware Acceleration the sounds go away.

With other browsers (HA enabled) there are no sounds.

    Configuration:
    MB: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 v1.1
    CPU: Q6600 B3
    GPU: Gigabyte 470 GTX

    OS: Windows 7 x64 SP1
    Flash: 11.1.102.55
    GPU Driver: 285.62

I have tried with the 2 latest GPU driver versions (280.26, 285.62) and no change, the strange sounds are still there.

I've noticed before that after I shut Opera down there still remains opera.exe process running with user system (not current user). But now I could not update Opera next - I was getting a "The instalation program could not replace skin\standard_skin.zip file. Error code 9" message untill I've killed this process manually.
Yes, and Opera still crashes on a number of sites, on this one for example: http://www.gaikai.com/games# And it crashes every time on any attempt to open the problem site.

themes are working now on Linux.. openSUSE 12.1 64 bit. ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series. however, since applying the new theme, the minimize, maximize and close buttons on the top right bar have disappeared.. and they are not coming back even after changing the theme back to default or to any other, closing and opening the browser and enabling and disabling hardware acceleration doesn't have any impact.
