No Opera crash logs when using Ubuntu?
In recent versions of Ubuntu Linux (or other distributions that use its kernel) the Opera crash logger no longer works out of the box, following changes made by Canonical/Ubuntu.
Internally we are testing an updated version of our crash logging tool that is unaffected by these changes. We hope to provide this shortly in a forthcoming snapshot. In the meantime, Ubuntu users who wish to re-enable Opera crash logging can do so via the work arounds outlined by Alex Murray on askubuntu.com.

If you are using a distro that is not derived from Ubuntu (or an older version of Ubuntu) our crash logger should work without modification.
You can temporarily disable this restriction [...] by doing:echo 0 | sudo tee /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope
To permanently allow it edit /etc/sysctl.d/10-ptrace.conf and change the line:kernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 1
To readkernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 0

Same here after upgrading from 10.x. I had to do a clean install. I restored all my bookmarks, passwords etc. but not the operaprefs.ini file. I don't have any good news for you. People have to do clean reinstallation often. Community support on troubleshooting is so-so, Opera support? - I don't know of such a service and there are some major issues not announced by Opera, even for stable releases. This all makes troubleshooting a *ch. I strongly suggest you start off by backing up operaprefs.ini and testing your opera after deletion of operaprefs.ini.

Awaiting notification here in desktop team blog post and of course the changelog!
Probably nothing else than security patches, but better than nothing!
Keep on ruling Opera, always having fun like a little child when a new version comes out!
Thanks again for that internal link "flm"!

I don't like how Chrome releases builds like that, if the fix list is too small then you might as well just bunch them together. Also it sounds like a waste of time to keep building packages every few hours just for testing a few small fixes. They roll out snapshots fine and don't need a restrictive Chrome-style release procedure.

when a title of a web page contains some special character eg. colon : and you save it to a fat32 partition opera. opera wont tell you that it doesnt save. preferably it would change the title to something that would save.
