Thank you for your hard work and the Beta. The new Speed Dial is awesome!

Win7 x64. Opera 11.10 beta with 22 speed dial thumbnails.
Octavio Alvarez17. March 2011, 08:46
If you insist on keeping the new behavior, at least:
1. When choosing a fixed number of columns, make the buttons scale like it was before.
2. Allow me to insert arbitrary spaces so I don't lose the mentioned ability.
3. Let me drag and drop an open tab to Speed Dial.
4. Classify the suggestions into "Open tabs", "Recently closed tabs", etc.
5. Make the left and right margins in the "automatic" setting configurable.
6. Allow a configuration to go to the old, 11.00, behavior.

So far, this beta works great, but I'm also confused by the updated Speed Dial : layout is 'messy' in comparison with the previous one.
Thumbnails are also annoying sometimes, with the smart zoom effect.
I won't mention the huge 'Add tab' button...
I think it just needs some polishing and layout refinement, but I'm sure it will end up great

If that is the biggest problem you see I'm rather content! It was of course added on purpose because many users didn't notice the tab trash bin feature.andi0017. March 2011, 08:50
how can i download an xz-archive instead the tar.bz2-archiev?
Because i can only choose between rpm/deb and tar.bz2/tar.gz archievs.
Thx, andi

I don't know if there's suddenly something wrong with my extensions...
But it really seems 'broadcastMessage' is not working ok.
Octavio Alvarez17. March 2011, 08:57
Some pages are not correctly thumbnailed. Sometimes the thumbnails show like if the page were super zoomed in.
Lonely images (those not in a webpage, but a direct URL) now zoom to full-screen by default, is that right? Except that I can't find how to get them to be shown 1:1 and zoom misbehaves.
And thank you for the phrase search, that will be very useful!
The + big button doesn't work. I need to click it and then drag and drop a thumbnail for the "add" window to appear.
The "add speed dial" dialog is not resizable. This is bad.
Two options needed: one to prevent Opera to take the custom content and another one to set the page width I want the thumbnail to be calculated with.

Opera still doesn't seem to be able to parse my proxy.pac correctly so I can't connect to the internet at work
I can access most sites if I configure it manually, but none of my collegues want to do that so wont take my recommendation to try Opera out
