It seems about the official version, Oh…
  • ruaman24. June 2011, 10:20

    One minor Bug:
Start up Opera Next, hover your mouse on the (+) to add new button. The (+) moves little bit to the left.
It happens for the first time on every start up.
    Win7 x64 sp1.

Which one should I download, why two (same) downloads? smile
  • r13raphweng24. June 2011, 10:24

No crash on install (RC, not "Next" release), problem solved.

    [Win 7, 64bit]
  • Fhury24. June 2011, 10:25

No crash this time! Thanks smile

next is a standalone dev "beta" release (that has autoupdate to every snapshot (optional)) and non-next is just a rc to a stable opera

One is the opera next, the other the normal installation ( the one you install over the stable )

Seems the crash from updating is gone...

    1) linux x86_64 crashes on wand.dat just like rc1 did. Reported as DSK-340280

    2) some locale files disappeared between rc1 and rc2:
    -%lang(bn) %{_datadir}/opera/locale/bn
    -%lang(pa) %{_datadir}/opera/locale/pa
    -%lang(sw) %{_datadir}/opera/locale/sw
    -%lang(zu) %{_datadir}/opera/locale/zu

In mail panel buttons "Check/Send", "Compose" and View have one state of all buttons state: Unpushed, Pushed and Hovered.

Still a show-stopper issue with opening panels on the right — takes 15 seconds and no panel selector toolbar.
  • nco2k24. June 2011, 10:39

another bug: place the mouse cursor over the zoom track-bar and move your mouse wheel few times up and afterwards few times down. you will end up in weird zooming levels like 149%, 128%, 156%...

Care to clue us in on what DSK-333805 is? I did a Google search of the Opera site and it came up blank. I might have a bit of time to work on it and see if I can reproduce it, if it's something I use. Thanks.

I just wanted to write, that http://www.formula1.com/ does not works with RC1. But I have seen the RC2, and now it works smile
    Google Calendar works also.

  • Crabman24. June 2011, 10:43

Is it only me or are the YouTube-Videos missing the load-progress indicator? Normally on the timeline-bar below the video you can see how much of the video is already loaded/buffered. Works with 11.11 and every other browser.

And yes, in both cases YT is loading/buffering the video, it's only the indicator that's missing in 11.50 (Win7 64x, Flash is updated).
  • greench24. June 2011, 10:44

Panel bar, not panel, is not placed to top/bottom position. @ubuntu 11.04

Opera 11.5 RC 2 on suse 11.4 + Gnome. It starts slowly (up to the page is loaded 1 min ) and takes more then 50% of processor time. Every mouse action like : new tab, changing tab, also F4 takes 10-15 sec and 50% of processor

The is only one change between the two RCs and that is to fix a specific crash on Windows startup. Nothing that would cause a site to start working. Perhaps there was just a problem with the site earlier.

Confirmed on XP Pro SP3 and build 1067 (if nothing's changed except for the crash fix, then it'd be the same).
  • Siddhartha24. June 2011, 11:05

the new zoom control have a minor issue, the dot is not precisely centered to the tick at the default position. it goes 1 pixel at right.
  • Asires24. June 2011, 11:08

Try to switch panel buttons to the top/bottom. Freeze.
    win7 x64
  • r13raphweng24. June 2011, 11:12

"[+] Get extensions"-Button in the extension-manager (CTRL + SHIFT + E) has no hover property.
  • sTeeVeboY24. June 2011, 11:13

Extension manager still slow in scrolling and not very responsive!

Takes much time to highlight different buttons, very laggy. Please fix it for final release!

Is there a way to not display speeddial titles underneath a certain speeddial?

In 11.50 there is always text, in 11.11 there wasn't, at least with that Speed Dial Clear Skin...

Confirmed, though I'm sure they are aware of it like the Start Bar.

Related in the sense that it's the extension manager, but I get 30% CPU (of 1.33GHz) usage when I hover anything that does have a hover style. (Reload/Disable/Ext Icon/etc).

Note: Only if there is one or more extensions in "Developer" mode, otherwise hover transitions are quick.
  • Eric GreenEricGreen9524. June 2011, 11:15

Navigation buttons change size when loading a page with the progress bar inside the address bar [Fixed by setting images to large] and clicking on the turbo button still no longer turns it on or off, it just brings up the turbo menu like opera link and unite. Finding this annoying because it seems like a hassle to have to go through the menu just to disable turbo for certain sites. Other than that seems to work okay.

Some annoying bugs still present in this version. I think these should be fixed before releasing 11.5 as they badly affect user experience:

DSK-335040 (When loading big image, two status bars are shown for few seconds until image is drawn)
DSK-335200 (Change position of Search toolbar to bottom;Load some web page, open HTML source of it;Press Ctrl-F to show search -> search toolbar is invisible OR pops up on top (but is set at bottom))
DSK-338464 (Toggling side panel with F4 or screen edge pops up search toolbar in all tabs - when search toolbar position is set to "bottom")

Had to go back to Op 11 to post this. In 11.5 I always got "Connection closed by remote server" on http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/comments/addcomment.pl. Maybe just overloaded server, but it happened 4 times in a row and then worked in 11 on first try...

This works for me. Please try to be slightly more descriptive and informative when reporting problems. Where are you seeing this? What are the steps needed to reproduce the problem? What platform are you on? And so on. Without basic information like that, you might as well not post a comment.

Yep, these are new locales. If we have another RC they should be included then.

Anyone can confirm this bug? Try to add some local mhtml file to speed dial. For example file://localhost/C:/somedir/somefile.mht and it never loads the thumbnail. Opera 11.5 rc2 Win7 x64 SP1
Also second thing but I don't know if it's bug or feature. I have different language set in Opera than in my OS. Everytime when I install new build Opera installer has default checked my OS language for installation and not my Opera installation language and I must change it manually.
