Are there any docs/examples for the new Extension Windows/Tabs API yet?

This beta crashes, does not respond, all the previous issues except for the pure virtual function call error... I am done. Rolling back and waiting this crashfest out thanks.

See http://www.opera.com/support/kb/view/991/ :
"In comparison to Opera Next, the Opera browser product is designed for day-to-day use and is only released for beta, release candidiate (RC), and final versions. While these releases are identical to beta, RC, and final versions of Opera Next, the installations still remain separate, as described above."

That's quite a relief. For a second there, I thought we were careening toward banging the rest of this out by Monday.

Reported as bug DSK-362213.
Using Opera-Next-12.00-1387.i386.exe installer on Windows 7.
1. Disable taskbar pinning.
2. Open installer > Options > Enable "pin to taskbar" > Accept and Install.
3. "Installer Error" dialog shows "Failed to pin Opera to taskbar. Error code: 92".
4. Ignore and cancel buttons are broken.
---
Disable taskbar pinning by saving REG file and importing:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer]
"NoPinningToTaskbar"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer]
"NoPinningToTaskbar"=-
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer]

Clipboard API
Added the following support for Clipboard API (Presto/2.10.292)
Implemented copy, cut, and paste events for text/plain and text/html content.
Implemented support for copy, cut, and paste arguments to document.execCommand(), if allowed by site-specific preference.

Does this mean you have given up on it? After all the hype? You're going to brush it under the carpet? If so, what a shame. I'd be very disappointed by the attitude and unwillingness to deal with hard problems. I was really rooting for this.
BigMuscleThursday, April 26, 2012 7:34:51 AM
a) it hangs and crashes very often (when HW enabled)
b) it is very slow
c) sometimes texts are displayed with zero letter spacing (when HW enabled)
d) dragging a link opens URL in new tab although "no action" icon is displayed

Also the "Encyclopedia" in the right click menu uses the Wikipedia version of the country of origin. I sit in Norway but I want the English version of Wikipedia, not the Norwegian!
On the plus side, tab grouping is being remembered through sessions!
I LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH

To clarify:
- Dragging a restored tab by it's titlebar does not work
- Dragging the divider between mail list and view does not work.
- Dragging within webapps that has their own JavaScript drag handling does not work.
In the first two cases, dragging works for moment before it snaps and starts dragging an image. of what you were dragging.

2) Flash video playback is WAY much slower than on Chrome.
3) Global wand password window has NO caption
4) Trying to move down the split part of the mail window does not allow it to move untill all messages are gone
This is not beta, this is a piece of you know what

Still slower than 11.62 (even with hwa off)
Still freezes on youtube page and in any page with flash
Google maps still not working, and any other drag and drop kind of problem.
(opera x64, w8cp x64, hwa off)

Yes, Mouse-Events in general seem to be broken.
- I keep dragging links instead of klicking and making wrong mouse-gestures. All the mouse-threshold seem to be way of (changing "Enable Drag" option doesn't make any difference).
- The "Open Dragged Link In Background"-Option seems to be ignored.
- The startup is slow, compared to the stable.
- The "Show Speed Dial" button looks still very bad, although the text is readable again.
- Scrolling on load is very jumpy.
- Rendering on scroll is completely broken (try http://www.pnp.de/region_und_lokal/stadt_und_landkreis_passau/pocking_bad_fuessing_bad_griesbach/ - Just scroll up and down)
An all this just in the first 10 minutes
The whole browser is nearly impossible to use.

That is not the point, I can do that everyday, BUT the Opera Next page says "new feature: *64-bit support for Windows and Mac" YET that page has no 64bit build. I want to forward the link to my friends that don't do daily Opera Next Alpha testing but want to see what's new. For the moment I can't.
Also, on that page I can't download the Linux version if I'm on Windows!?

- Scrolling has improved but still not as smooth as 11.62
- twitter.com status updates were showing time/date as "NaN"; issue appears to be fixed. Time and date now showing correctly.

One thing I have noticed that when you click on Opera Menu - Help - Check for Updates when it says Opera is up to date, if you click Ok it doesn't close the box instead you have to click on the close button in the box before it will disappear.
cheers
